Add group-assigned Incident notification

To subscribe to notifications for Incidents assigned to a group (while not deleting the individual assignment notifications you already receive)

  1. In the Overview Console or Incident Management Console, click the My Profile link under General Functions
  2. In the People window, click the Notifications tab
  3. Click the Update Notification Preferences button beneath the Notifications table
  4. In the Notification Preferences window, click the Create button (bottom of window)
  5. In the Notification Event tab, use the drop-down menus to configure the notification
    • Module Name = Incident
    • Notification Event = Assignment
    • Support Company = North Dakota University System
    • Support Organization = your organization
    • Support Group Name = your support group name
    • Status* = Enabled
    • Pager Notification* = No
    • Use Business Hours* = No
    • Use Business Holidays* = No
    • Individual Notifications* = Yes
    • Group Notifications* = Yes
    • Notification Method* = Email (do not choose Alert)
  6. Click the Add button

Now you will receive an email notification when an Incident is assigned to your group but not to another individual within your group.
